Helping Families Build Healthier Lives Through Food, Fitness, and Education
N The Know Cares 4 U, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization offers community-based Nutrition & Fitness Wellness Workshops designed to help individuals and families make healthier choices, move safely, and build long-term wellness habits.
Our workshops are created for churches, community centers, senior groups, veterans, families, and individuals who want practical tools to improve their health. Each session is simple, encouraging, and easy to understand.
Through education, movement, and real-life examples, we help participants learn how healthy eating and physical activity can support better energy, stronger bodies, improved confidence, and healthier daily routines.
Many families face health challenges connected to poor nutrition, limited physical activity, diabetes, high blood pressure, excess weight, stress, and lack of access to simple wellness education.
Our Nutrition & Fitness Wellness Workshops are designed to meet people where they are. We provide practical classroom-style education that teaches participants how to make better food choices, understand food labels, reduce sugar and sodium, move safely, and create realistic wellness habits at home.
These workshops are led by Teresa Nelson, founder of N The Know Cares 4 U, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Teresa brings more than 15 years of certification-based fitness and wellness experience and more than 10 years of Fitness Induced Nutritional education. She has hosted five fitness bootcamps across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and has trained and supported more than 1,000 individuals through fitness, nutrition, and wellness education.
Teresa has also completed certificate programs in Nutrition Coach, Nutrition, Group Exercise, Communication through the International Association of Professions Career College.
The goal of our workshops is to help participants:
Understand how food choices affect the body
Learn how to reduce sugar and sodium intake
Make healthier grocery choices on a budget
Create simple balanced meals at home
Learn safe beginner-friendly exercises
Improve movement, balance, strength, and flexibility
Build confidence around health and wellness
Understand how food and fitness work together
Support healthier habits for the entire family
Participants learn how to make healthier food choices using affordable, everyday ingredients. This includes understanding balanced meals, healthier cooking methods, hydration, and the importance of consistency.
These sessions teach how excess sugar and sodium may affect blood sugar, blood pressure, weight, and overall wellness. Participants learn how to identify hidden sugar and sodium in common foods.
We teach families how to compare food labels, choose healthier options, plan meals, and stretch their food dollars while still making nutritious choices.
Participants learn how to build simple balanced plates with proteins, vegetables, healthy carbohydrates, and water. This helps support energy, wellness, and better daily habits.
This portion of the workshop teaches safe movement, walking, stretching, and low-impact activity that can be done at home, at church, or in a community setting.
Participants learn simple bodyweight and light-resistance exercises that support strength, confidence, mobility, and overall wellness.
These sessions are especially helpful for seniors and adults who want to improve flexibility, stability, coordination, and comfort with daily movement.
We encourage families and communities to care for their bodies, support one another, and make healthy living part of their everyday life.

Our goal is not to overwhelm people. Our goal is to encourage, educate, and provide realistic steps that can be practiced at home. Small changes can lead to stronger families, healthier communities, and a better quality of life.
Through this program, N The Know Cares 4 U, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization helps bring wellness education directly into the community.
We welcome churches, nonprofits, community organizations, senior centers, and local partners who want to bring Nutrition & Fitness Wellness Workshops to their community.
